We perform health testing on all of our breeding dogs for IVDD (intervertebral disc disease), Cord1PRA progressive retinal atrophy (an eye disease), and LaFora Disease (a form of epilepsy). 

Our puppies are raised inside our home with all the other dachshund family. We do not kennel our dogs outside, isolated from us or our other animals.  Our puppies receive daily socialization with people, children, routine tasks (such as vacuuming), rides in the car, and with bigger dogs and cats.  We begin potty training at 4 weeks old which has proven to be very productive!

Our puppies are fed a high-quality puppy food.  We use Diamond Puppy formula & Diamonds Naturals Skin & Coat, Salmon & Potato formula once they are 12 months old.
